Itinerary
Started from Bali
Your driver will pick you up between 14.00-17.00 local time, depend on your hotel location (we will confirm about the pick up time later after booking). Drive to Gilimanuk for about 2-5 hours (again it will be depend on your hotel location) to take a ferry to cross to Java (Ketapang Ferry Port).
Note:
Starting and finishing the tour at Bali could be quite tiring, you can consider to stay 1 night at the hotel in Banyuwangi then continue to Bali the next day.
Started from Banyuwangi
Your driver will pick you up at your hotel in Banyuwangi at 19.00
Directly drive to Cemara Lawang You will reach Cemara Lawang village at the crater rim around 02.00. In Cemara Lawang you will have to change your private comfortable car for a private Jeep. The Jeep will drive you to Mt. Penanjakan, which is one of the highest viewpoints in the area (2770 m). You can drink a cup of coffee or tea and experience a local snack before sunrise. Weather conditions will eventually determine the views and the color palette.
After sunrise, the Jeep will continue to Mount Bromo via the sea of sand.
Ask the driver to stop if you wish to experience the sea of sand. Otherwise, your driver will park near Luhur Poten temple. After the Jeep is parked it will be a 45-minute walk to the top of Mt. Bromo. If you don't feel like walking, you can ride a horse (not included).
Enjoy your time. When ready, the driver will be waiting for you. It is a short drive to Cemara Lawang where you will have breakfast in restaurants nearby the area. After breakfast, you will be driven back to Probolinggo/Surabaya/ Back to Bali.
